Beyonce treats her legion of fans and makes a dream come to life at the same damn time. The music superstar hopped on Megan Thee Stallion’s remix for her hit song “Savage,” and it’s all for a good cause.
“Ima boss, ima leader, I pull up in my two seater,” declares Beyonce on the track. “And my mama was a savage, Bitch I got this shit from Tina.”
Savage Remix” is fantastic, far more involved and intricate than most blink-and-you’ll-miss-it collaborations.
The new remix arrived on streaming services on Wednesday afternoon, when it was revealed the revamped single, which features new verses from both Megan and Beyonce, would raise funds for officials at charitable organization Bread of Life’s COVID-19 relief efforts in the duo’s native Houston, Texas.
The collaboration is also a dream come true for rap newcomer and Beyonce devotee Megan, who was reduced to tears over landing the superstar guest.
“I’m literally crying,” the 25 year old posted on Instagram as she shared an animated video for the Savage Remix. “being from HOUSTON MF (motherf**king) TEXAS this s**t means EVERYTHING to me !!!!”
“SAVAGE REMIX FT (featuring) THE QUEEN @BEYONCE OUT NOW!” she continued. “All the artist proceeds of the song goes to @breadoflifehou to support our city during this pandemic…!”
Beyonce has already pledged to support Houston’s Bread of Life via her BeyGOOD non-profit after recently partnering with Twitter boss Jack Dorsey to provide $6 million in funding for various organizations providing mental health and wellness services.
